Now in her third term as Prime Minister of New Zeland, the 56 year old Clark’s name is frequently floated by those seeking a woman for the S-G job. Clark is recognized as a good manager and defined New Zealand foreign policy as being independent of Australia, anti-nuclear (no ports-of-call for ships carrying nuclear warheads), and being a good international neighbor through peacekeeping and relief work.
